Mitch O'NeillLast year Grids wrote a review of the technologies and services available to operate microgrids. It’s available here: Link to the “Review of Australian Microgrid Technologies” report.
It provides a framework of different functions required in microgrid projects, and vendors who can supply those functions.
The report covers off each function with important risks, opportunities and questions that can be asked of vendors. It then puts theory into practice and reviews a range of vendors and service providers in Australia that can provide those functions.
The report is useful for parties developing grid connected and standalone microgrids, community batteries, commercial & industrial sites and virtual power plants.
